Camp Wagner, 6'6" guard, signs with Rice Owls Men's Basketball
POSTED: April 15, 2023 -- 12:08 p.m. CT
Rice Owls men's basketball head coach Scott Pera announced the signing of Camp Wagner (Dallas, Texas) to a national letter of intent for the 2023-24 school year.
"We are very excited to welcome Camp Wagner to our program," Coach Pera said. "Camp fits all the criteria we look for in a student-athlete. He will be a great teammate, student and player for us in the coming years. His skill set fits our style perfectly. He is a tremendous passer as well as shooter. His versatility will give him opportunities to help in many ways."
Wagner, 6'6" guard, comes to Rice after spending last year at Link Prep Academy in Missouri, where he averaged 16.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals. A native of Dallas, he spent most of high school as Highland Park. Wagner also earned Academic All-District honors.
Wagner joins forwards Sam Alajiki (Dundalk, Ireland/California), Keanu Dawes (Stratford HS), and Gabe Warren (Plano, Texas) in the 2023-24 recruiting class, giving Rice the No. 51 class overall by 247 sports.
