Fifteen Rice Owls Men's Hoops Games to Be Shown Nationally During 2021-22 Season

Thursday afternoon, Rice Owls Men's Basketball announced fifteen men's basketball games have been selected by four networks to be broadcast during the 2021-22 season.

Rice will have eight games on ESPN+, three each on FloHoops and Stadium and one on CBS Sports Network.

Rice will have a pair of road games on ESPN+ to start the year. They first travel to Houston on November 12 before heading to Louisiana to face New Orleans on November 19. Both games will be at 7 p.m.

The Owls then head to Fort Myers, FL, for the Gulf Coast Showcase for three games that will all be shown on FloHoops. Rice opens the tournament against Evansville on November 22 at 10 a.m. The next day, it will play either Oakland or Vermont at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m. Rice will close the tournament on November 24 against Appalachian State, Akron, Delaware or Fordham.

Rice will have six Conference USA games shown on ESPN+, beginning with its conference opener at North Texas on January 1 (5 p.m.).

It will then play three of four games on the platform, starting with its January 15 matchup at Marshall (6 p.m.). The following week, the Owls will host Charlotte on January 22 (2 p.m.) before heading to Louisiana Tech on January 27 (6:30 p.m.).

The final two games on ESPN+ are away games at FIU (February 19 at 6 p.m.) and UTSA (March 5 at 2 p.m.)

Rice will play three games on Stadium including both games in the UAB series (January 8 at 3 p.m.; February 17 at 7 p.m.). The final game will be a January 24 home game against Louisiana Tech (7 p.m.).

Rice's final televised game will be a national affair on CBS Sports Network at WKU (January 13 at 8 p.m.).

The Conference USA Championship first and second rounds (Mar. 8-9) will be livestreamed on ESPN+. The quarterfinals will be televised by Stadium on March 10 while the semifinals (March 11) and championship (March 12) will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

Conference USA's national games will air on CBS Sports Network, Stadium and ESPNU. Digital contests will stream via Stadium and ESPN+. Additional coverage can be found on CUSA.tv, the league's official streaming portal.

Rice opens the season on November 9 when it hosts CBI Champion Pepperdine at 7 p.m.
