6'1" Elijah Lawrence commits to Rice Owls Men's Basketball

Monday night, Elijah Lawrence announced his commitment to the Rice Owls men's basketball program. Lawrence, 6'1", 165, attends Bellaire High School in Bellaire, TX.

Lawrence is the third player from the Class of 20201 to commit to the Owls and Head Coach Scott Pera. 6'8" Jaden Geron committed to Rice in July and 6'6" Damion McDowell committed to Rice in May 2020.
Elijah, who is ranked 12th (out of 80) in RCSSports.com's Class of 2021 rankings for the Greater Houston area, is described as a "Tough defensive minded leader that creates, facilitates and scores." (Thanks to Herb Baker, basketball development coach and former pro player, for the quote.)
