Today, the NBA announced that Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant was named All-NBA Second Team. It is the 12th time he has earned All-NBA honors, tying for the seventh-most in history. Durant is the 10th different Rocket to have earned All-NBA distinction and the first since his former Oklahoma City teammates James Harden and Russell Westbrook in 2019-20.

In 78 games played this season, Durant averaged 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 0.91 blocks in 36.4 minutes per game, while shooting 52.0% from the floor, 41.3% from 3-point range and 87.4% from the foul line. He was one of five players (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jaylen Brown, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic) to have averaged at least 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

Durant has averaged 25-plus points while shooting at least 50.0% from the floor and 40.0% from 3-point range in each of the past four seasons and eight times in his career; no other player in NBA history has more than three seasons doing so.

At 37, Durant became the oldest player in NBA history to have scored 2,000 points in a season. He ranked second to Amen Thompson in total minutes played in 2025-26 and became the fourth different player 37 or older (LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Karl Malone twice) to have averaged at least 36.0 minutes played in a season.

Durant ranked 11th in scoring this season and has averaged at least 25.0 ppg in each of his past 17 seasons played, which is the second-most all-time (LeBron James with 20). He had the 11th-highest 3-point percentage of players with 40-plus games played who averaged at least 2.0 3-pointers made. Durant had the fourth-best defensive field goal percentage (.422) of players with more than one game played who defended an average of 10 shot attempts.

During this season, Durant moved from eighth to fifth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, passing Wilt Chamberlain, Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Jordan. He trails Kobe Bryant for fourth place by 1,047 points. Durant also passed career totals of 32,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 5,000 assists in 2025-26.
