Five Coogs score at least 12 points in Houston's 103-73 win over Arizona State

The Houston Cougars men's basketball team defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils, 103-73, Sunday evening. Houston improves to 17-1 overall and 5-0 in the Big 12 Conference. The Cougars have won 11 consecutive games.
Houston freshman point guard Kingston Flemings scored a game-high 20 points and added 8 assists and 4 rebounds. Freshman big man Chris Cenac Jr scored 18 points, dished out a season-high 5 assists to go along with 8 rebounds. Flemings and Cenac were joined in double-digit scoring by upperclassmen Emanuel Sharp (16 points), Milos Uzan (16 points) and JoJo Tugler (12 points).
Cenac sank a three-point shot for the first points of the game. Flemings followed with a slam dunk off a steal by Milos Uzan. Tugler scored a layup and Sharp knocked down 2 free throws for a 9-0 Houston lead less than 2 minutes into the ball game.
Arizona State's Bryce Ford ended ASU's scoring drought with a pull up jumper; but, Houston responded with a 15-0 blitz for a 24-2 lead five minutes into the game.
Houston led ASU 56-29 at halftime.
As locked in and together as Houston was in the first half, they were out of sync offensively and defensively early in the second half. Houston led by as much as 33 (66-33) with 18:10 on the clock; however, after senior Ramon Walker Jr swished a pull-up jump shot for a 79-54 lead at the 11:21 mark, Houston went scoreless for nearly 4 minutes.
Houston missed shots, turned over the ball, and had a few lapses on defenses which Arizona State took advantage of with a 12-0 run to pull within 13 (79-66) with 7:31 remaining in the 2nd half.
Milos Uzan swished a corner three-point shot to end Houston's scoring drought. Houston scored the next 6 points for a 9-0 run to lead 88-66 with 5 minutes remaining in the game. Houston finished the game with a 15-7 spurt for the final 30 point (103-73) victory
