Taze Moore, 6'5", wing, has decided to commit to the University of Houston and Kelvin Sampson's Houston Cougars men's basketball program. Taze (pronounced Tah - zay) is a grad transfer from Cal State Bakersfield.

In 22.4 minutes per game, Moore led the Roadrunners in scoring with 12.2 points per game. He shot 48.8 fg% (104 for 213) -- including 51.4 3pt% (19 for 37). He also led the team in steals (30) and ranked top 3 on the team in rebounding (4.0 boards per game), assists (63), and blocks (14).

Moore earned First Team All-Big West honors for the 2020-21 season. Moore earned a spot on the WAC All-Defensive Team for the 2019-20 season after ranking in the top 10 in the WAC in blocks and steals.

During the 2019-20 season, Moore became the first Roadrunner in school history to tally 500 points, 200 rebounds, 100 assists, 75 steals, and 50 blocks in a career.

He sat out the 2017-18 season as a medical redshirt due to a season ending leg injury he suffered his freshman season on February 11, 2017. Moore had five surgeries between the injury and his return to the court for the 2018-19 season.

Despite the injury and subsequent surgeries, Moore is very athletic and an excellent leaper.

Moore will join 6'11" big man Josh Carlton as transfers to the Coogs for the 2021-22 season. Houston will also welcome freshmen Robbie Armbrester (6'5"), Ja'Vier Francis (6'8"), and Ramon Walker (6'5").

Houston loses seniors Justin Gorham, Brison Gresham, and De'Jon Jarreau to graduation; Quentin Grimes has declared for the 2021 NBA Draft; and sophomore guard Cameron Tyson decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
