Rice senior forward Malia Fisher was named American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Fisher earns conference recognition after leading the Owls to a fourth-quarter comeback win at Tulane on New Year's Day.
She led all scorers with a season-high 21 points, while adding eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Fisher scored eight points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead bucket, while also recording all four of her assists in the frame.
Since her return, Fisher is averaging a team-leading 12.5 points per game, while also adding 6.7 rebounds per game.
The Owls (8-6) continue conference play Wednesday night at UTSA.
