Danyelle Grant Joins Rice Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Monday morning, Rice University head women's basketball coach Lindsay Edmonds announced the hiring of assistant coach Danyelle Grant.

"I am thrilled to announce the hiring of Danny Grant," Edmonds said. "Danny embodies all of the characteristics and values we were looking for in this position. She not only is a great coach with a lot of experience who will hit the ground running with recruiting and on-court development, but she is also a wonderful person who will be a great role model for our young ladies. Danny truly is just an all-around tremendous addition to our staff, program, and family and I can't wait for her to get here."

Grant spent the last season as an assistant coach at USC, where she served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator and two games as the acting head coach.
