Rice Owls women's basketball Signs Transfer Alexis Stover
Posted: June 18, 2021 -- 2:10 p.m. CT
Lindsay Edmonds, Rice Owls women's basketball head coach, announced the Owls have signed transfer Alexis Stover, a 5'11" forward from Wright State.
Stover will be eligible for the 2021-22 season.
"We are thrilled that Alexis has decided to join our Rice Owl family," Coach Edmonds said. "Being able to add her to our roster and to bring in her size, experience and ability to shoot the basketball makes our entire staff very excited. We know that she can enhance our program not only on the court but off the court as well."
Last season Stover appeared in all 27 games for Wright State while making 14 starts. She logged 426 minutes of action while averaging 15.8 minutes per contest, 2.1 points per game, and 1.5 rebounds per game. Stover was part of a Raiders team that earned their third Horizon League Championship title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
In 2019-'20, Stover started all 31 games for the Raiders while averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 per game while earning a spot on the Horizon League All-Freshman Team.
