Carl Pierre, Travis Evee Earn All-Conference Honors

Pierre is averaging a team-leading 15.4 points per game, good for seventh-place in C-USA while pulling down 4.6 rebounds. He leads the league in three-point field goal percentage, connecting on 42.1% from beyond the arc, and is second with 3.1 three-pointers made per game, which is also 19th in the nation. He's also seventh in the league in field goal percentage, connecting on 46.8% from the field.
He has connected on 93 three-pointers to set a new Rice single-season record. He also tied the single-game mark for three-pointers with eight at Marshall.
Pierre has led the team in scoring a team-high 13 times and has recorded 24 double-figure scoring games. He leads the Owls with seven 20-point games, including twice scoring a career-high 30 points at Marshall and UTEP. He earned Conference USA Player of the Week honors after helping the Owls to a series sweep of Middle Tennessee and UAB.
Evee is second on the team with 14.1 points per game while adding 3.1 rebounds per game and 2.9 assists per game. He is third in the league in three-pointers made per game (2.8) and fifth in three-point field goal percentage (39.0%) while connecting on 44.0% from the field.
His 83 three-pointers are currently tied for the sixth-most in a season in school history. The Randolph, Mass., native has led the team in scoring nine times and has led the team in scoring a team-high 25 times. He has five 20-point games, including a season-high 25 points in the Owls' 85-80 victory over UAB.
The duo leads Rice into this week's Conference USA Tournament. The West Division fifth-seeded Owls take on East fourth-seed Charlotte at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, in Frisco.
