Rice Owls sophomore Quincy Olivari was named Third Team All-Conference USA, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Olivari is averaging a team-leading 16.3 points per game, good for seventh-place in C-USA. His 79 three-pointers also lead the league, are the ninth most in the country and the 10th-most in a season in Rice history. Olivari is also second on the team with 4.9 rebounds per game.
Olivari has led team in scoring a team-high 12 times and has recorded 18 double-figure scoring games. He leads the Owls with nine 20-point points, including scoring a career-high 35 points at Houston Baptist, the second-most points in Conference USA this year, to earn C-USA Player of the Week.
He becomes the first Owl to earn All-Conference honors since Marcus Evans and Egor Koulechov earned First Team accolades in 2017.
Olivari leads Rice into this week's Conference USA Tournament. The West Division sixth-seeded Owls take on West seventh-seed Southern Miss at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, at The Star, in Frisco, TX.
