Tre Clark, 6'5 guard, announces he's transferring to Rice

Tuesday evening, Tre Clark, 6'5" guard, from Furman University, announced he has decided to transfer to Rice University to continue his academic and athletic career.
"I'm very blessed and thankful to be in position I'm in today. All glory goes to God!!! Today after praying about it and talking to family I've decided to attend Rice University. I'm excited to take my academic and athletic abilities to such a prestigious university and elite basketball program! Let's be great together! Go Owls!!!"

Clark averaged 18.9 minutes per game in 2019-20 for the Furman Paladins. He had a 43.3 fg% and averaged 3.3 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, 1.3 assists per game, and 1.0 steal per game for Furman.
In the 2018-'19 season, Clark started 1 game but saw action in 33 games. He averaged 13.7 minutes per game; shot 47.7% from the floor; 29.4% from 3; and averaged 3.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1 steal per game.
Clark played in 23 games his freshman season (2016-'17). He redshirted the 2017-18 season.
Clark struggles at the free throw line: he's made 39 free throws out of 101 attempts (38.6%).
Since he's a graduate transfer, Clark is immediately eligible to play basketball in the 2020-'21 season for Rice and Head Coach Scott Pera.
Clark joins 6'4" Cavit Ege Havsa, 6'1" Noah Hutchins (Buffalo, NY), 6'9" Mylyjael Poteat (Reidsville, NC) and 6'6" Cameron Sheffield (Alpharetta, GA) and transfers 6'9" Riley Abercrombie (Wollongong, Australia / Boise State), 6'1" Travis Evee (Randolph, MA / VMI) and 6'3" Jake Lieppert (Scottsdale, AZ / Pima CC) in the 2020-21 signing class.
