No. 11 TCU knocked off No. 18 Baylor to claim its second consecutive outright Big 12 women's basketball regular season title. The Horned Frogs (27-4, 15-3) are the first team in league history to win back-to-back regular season championships within three seasons of finishing in last place. It marks the first time in program history that TCU has captured consecutive conference titles.
The Horned Frogs will be the top seed in the 2026 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament as they look to defend their postseason title from a season ago. TCU will play in the Quarterfinals on Friday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
TCU was also announced as the No. 11 overall team in the NCAA Women's Basketball Committee's Top 16 reveal during ESPN's College GameDay, which aired live from Fort Worth to start the day. It marked the first time the show has been on a Big 12 campus for a women's basketball game.
The 2026 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament will feature all 16 league teams at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, starting Wednesday, March 4 through Sunday, March 8/Monday, March 9.
The Big 12 Conference and ASB GlassFloor introduced a state-of-the-art full LED video sports floor that will debut at the 2026 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament. The Tournament will mark the first time ASB GlassFloor's LED court technology will be used for official competition in the United States, representing a significant milestone in the modernization of college athletics.
The Big 12 also announced various fan experiences, entertainment and community outreach programs as part of this year's Tournament. No. 2 West Virginia (24-6, 14-4), No. 3 Baylor (24-7, 13-5) and No. 4 Oklahoma State (23-8, 12-6) join TCU and receive double-byes into the Quarterfinals. No. 5 Texas Tech (25-6, 12-6), No. 6 Colorado (20-10, 11-7), No. 7 Iowa State (22-8, 10-8) and No. 8 Utah (19-11, 10-8) received one bye into the Second Round on Thursday, March 5.
First Round games will open with No. 12 K-State (15-16, 8-10) taking on No. 13 Cincinnati (11-19, 6-12) at 11 a.m., followed by No. 9 BYU (20-10, 9-9) meeting No. 16 Houston (7-22, 1-17) at 1:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., a rivalry matchup takes center stage as No. 10 Arizona State (22-9, 9-9) faces No. 15 Arizona (12-17, 3-15) followed by a nightcap of No. 11 Kansas (18-12, 8-10) playing No. 14 UCF (11-18, 3-15) at 8 p.m. All First Round games will air on ESPN+ and all times listed are central.
The Tournament Final will take place Sunday, March 8 at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN unless BYU advances to the Final which would move the title game to Monday, March 9 at 3 p.m. CT.

Returning from last year, the Tournament will again feature best-in-class premium seating offerings, including club access, prime seating locations, complimentary light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
