TCU defeated Baylor 51-48 to claim the program's first Big 12 women's basketball regular season title.
The matchup between the Horned Frogs and the Bears marked the first time in league history that a winner-take-all game took place on the final day of the regular season. It was just the fourth time since the 1999-2000 season that a major conference had two teams play a winner-take-all game on the final day of the regular season and the first time since 2021.
The Horned Frogs (28-3, 16-2) end the regular season with a 6-2 record in top-25 contests and set program records for total wins, Big 12 wins and home wins. TCU becomes the second Big 12 team in Conference history to win a regular season title within two seasons of finishing in last place. The Horned Frogs will be the top seed in the 2025 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. TCU will play in the Quarterfinals on Friday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
The 2025 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship features a new format this season including all 16 teams, starting Wednesday, March 5 through Sunday, March 9/Monday, March 10.
This year's Championship marks the debut of the “XII Court”, an XII-branded court. Additionally, the Big 12 Conference has partnered with global sportswear brand and retailer UNDEFEATED on the XII Court design. The court's apron features the brand's iconic 5-strike logo.
No. 2 Baylor (25-6, 15-3), No. 3 Oklahoma State (24-5, 14-4) and No. 4 West Virginia (23-6, 13-5) join top-seeded TCU and receive double-byes into the Quarterfinals while No. 5 K-State (25-6, 13-5), No. 6 Utah (22-7, 13-5), No. 7 Iowa State (21-10, 12-6) and No. 8 Arizona (19-12, 10-8) received one bye into the Second Round on Thursday, March 6.

All four opening round games can be seen on ESPN+.
The Championship Final will take place Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. CT, on ESPN unless BYU advances to the Final which would move the title game to Monday, March 10.
