Iowa State's Audi Crooks (player) and Cincinnati's Caliyah DeVillasee (freshman) collected Big 12 women's basketball accolades for the second week of the 2025-26 campaign. Iowa State's Addy Brown, TCU's Marta Suarez and West Virginia's Sydney Shaw join the two weekly award winners in earning spots on the Big 12 Starting Five, which highlights strong performances from across the league.
Crooks broke the Iowa State single-game scoring record with 43 points against Valparaiso, one of just two 40-point performances so far nationally this season, while becoming the first player in Division I since at least 1999-2000 to score 40+ points in 20 minutes or less. The Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year followed up with the third-most field goals without a miss in school history (8-8) against Norfolk State. Crooks' scoring (31.0) and blocked shot averages (3.0) ranked first in the league for the week, while her field goal percentage (83.9%) was second. This is her 10th overall weekly league honor and her sixth Player of the Week nod.
DeVillasee became UC's single-game assist record holder, dishing out 15 assists in the Bearcats' 100-61 win over Georgetown College. The 15 assists are the most by a freshman in a game nationally this season and are the second most overall in a game by any player. The guard from Owings Mills, Maryland, paired it with 14 points for her first career double-double, the program's first point-assist double-double since 2022. DeVillasee becomes the first Bearcat to win Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
Brown recorded a triple-double against Norfolk State, tallying 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in just 26 minutes of game action. Suarez's 26 points in TCU's top 10 win (69-59) over NC State are the most nationally in a victory over a top 25 opponent this season. Shaw led WVU to a victory over then-No. 15 Duke while being just one of five Mountaineers available in the second half.
