KU's Taiyanna Jackson, UT's Madison Booker Capture Final Big 12 WBB Weekly Awards for Week 17

Kansas' Taiyanna Jackson (player) and Texas' Madison Booker (freshman) earned the final Big 12 women's basketball weekly awards for the 2023-24 season.

Jackson averaged 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds as the Jayhawks compiled a pair of wins to extend their hot streak to eight wins in nine games. Jackson had a career-high 29 points, adding in 10 rebounds and four blocks, in the 65-53 win at UCF. The center from East Chicago, Indiana, had 12 points and 15 rebounds as the Jayhawks defeated then-No. 20 Oklahoma Saturday. It is the fourth career weekly honor for the senior, and the second of her 2023-24 season.

Booker was tabbed Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season, as she averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists for the Longhorns. Booker, from Ridgeland, Mississippi, had 26 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals at Oklahoma. In the regular season finale against BYU, the forward had 20 points and five assists as UT posted a 71-46 win. Booker now has 11 games of 20+ point scoring this season and moved into sixth on UT's all-time freshman scoring list.
