WVU's JJ Quinerly and Texas' Madison Booker Earned Big 12 WBB Week 11 Honors

West Virginia's JJ Quinerly (player) and Texas' Madison Booker (freshman) were tabbed for Big 12 women's basketball weekly awards for the 11th week of the season after leading their respective squads to a pair of wins apiece.

Quinerly averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 6.0 steals in two Mountaineer victories. The junior from Norfolk, Virginia scored 18 points with five rebounds and four assists in the win against Houston. The criminology major had eight steals against Cincinnati, matching a season-high for a Big 12 player while scoring 23 points in the game. The guard helped WVU become the first Division I team to hold opponents scoreless in the first quarter in back-to-back games since the four-quarter format was adopted in 2015-16. It is her second player of the week selection of the season and her career.

Booker collected her third career weekly award, and her second freshman of the week honor, as the Longhorns picked up wins against Kansas and Oklahoma State. The forward who plans to major in mechanical engineering averaged 17.0 points, 5.5. rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals. Against Kansas, the Ridgeland, Mississippi native shot 6-of-12 from the field, dishing out six assists. She had a career-high five steals against Oklahoma State, scoring 19 points for her 10th consecutive double-figure scoring game.
