TCU's Sedona Prince, Oklahoma State's Stailee Heard Tabbed for Big 12 WBB Week 7 Honors

TCU's Sedona Prince (player) and Oklahoma State's Stailee Heard (freshman) were voted as Big 12 women's basketball weekly award winners for the seventh week of the season.

Prince averaged 24.0 points, 16.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists as the Horned Frogs completed a perfect non-conference season for the first time in school history. The graduate student pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts shot 70.0% from the floor, scoring 26 points in the 96-56 win over Omaha. In the 87-34 win over Mount St. Mary's, the center from Liberty Hill, Texas scored or assisted on 16 field goals—which was two more than the Mountaineers had in the entire game. Prince finished with 22 points off of 10-of-12 from the field and had a career-high six assists in the game. It is the second Big 12 weekly award for Prince this season.

Heard earned her second Big 12 freshman of the week honor, posting averages of 14.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 52.2 percent from the field. She helped the Cowgirls run their winning streak to six games, going 3-of-6 from the floor and grabbing four rebounds at Utah Tech. The guard from Sapulpa, Oklahoma had a career-high 23 points and a team-high eight rebounds against Oregon, making nine of her 17 field goal attempts and connecting on a career-best three 3-pointers in the game. It marked the ninth time in 11 games this season that she has shot 50 percent-or-better from the field.
