Texas Southern Women's Basketball to hold Team Camps August 9-10

Campers will have an opportunity to learn from and showcase their talents in front of Naismith and Women's Basketball Hall-of-Famer and new TSU head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke. Cooper-Dyke returns to TSU after spending four seasons as head coach of USC. Cooper has also coached at TSU, UNC Wilmington and Prairie View A&M. Prior to her collegiate coaching career, Cooper served as head coach of the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and helped establish the WNBA as one of the premier women's basketball leagues as a four-time champion and finals MVP, four-time all-star and two-time league MVP.

Camp will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day as the cost is $300 per team for one day or $500 for two days. Teams will be grouped by divisions (varsity, junior varsity, freshman) as multi-team discounts are available. Teams that register before August 1 will receive a special discounted rate of $200 for one day and $400 for two days.
