The American announces 2019-20 Women's Basketball Home and Away Opponents

POSTED: June 18, 2019 -- 1:46 p.m. CT

The American Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball scheduling model and pairings for the 2019-20 season.

For the third-consecutive year, each of the conference's 12 teams will play 16 league games. Each team will play five teams twice and six teams once – three at home and three on the road.

All 12 teams will compete in the 2020 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The Championship is set to return to Mohegan Sun Arena for the seventh-straight year, with dates set for March 6-9, 2020.

Five American teams – UCF, Cincinnati, UConn, Houston, and USF - reached the postseason in 2018-19, highlighted by UConn reaching its 12th-consecutive Final Four.

The complete 2019-20 women's basketball composite schedule with dates and times will be announced in late August.
