July 30, 2018

This morning, Bria Patterson announced she has chosen to attend the University of Houston to play basketball for Head Coach Ronald Hughey and the Coogs.

Kadi Creel, Patterson's Assistant Coach at DeSoto High School, provided a scouting report of Patterson's skills: "Long, athletic, strong, high motor, versatile, relentless rebounder that rebounds out of her area. (She) can defend any position on the floor; understands the game; nice mid-range game; and (Bria) can knock down the 3 and facilitate in the open court."

Bria also hoops for DFW Elite 17u EYBL on the grassroots basketball circuit.

Patterson is known for her stellar athleticism.

Jason Key of the Premier Basketball Report describes Patterson as a "special athlete with emerging skill".

And, per Blue Star Media's Travis Ponton, Patterson has "Size, length, and athleticism really shows out when she has the ball in her hands…Attacks the rack…Range is to the arc…Doesn’t mind the physicality inside…Efficient scorer in the paint…Monster rebounds".
