Memphis' DeAndre Williams, UCF's Taylor Hendricks Earn Weekly Honors for week ending February 26

The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the sixteenth week of the 2022-23 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DeAndre Williams * Senior * Forward * Memphis

Williams helped propel the Tigers into second place in The American with a pair of wins by averaging 19.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. He posted 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists in Memphis' road win at Wichita State on Thursday night and followed that with 21 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three blocks in a victory over Cincinnati on Sunday.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Taylor Hendricks * Forward * UCF

Hendricks averaged 21.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in a pair of games for the Knights. The forward scored 18 points with four rebounds against South Florida on Wednesday before posting a season-high 25 points with eight rebounds in a road win at Tulsa on Sunday.

HONOR ROLL

Ithiel Horton * Redshirt-Senior * Guard * UCF

Horton averaged 20.0 points and 5.0 steals in a pair of games for UCF.

J'Wan Roberts * Redshirt-Junior * Forward * Houston

In two wins for No. 1 Houston, Roberts averaged 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 70.8 percent from the field (17-24).

Tyler Harris * Senior * Guard * South Florida

Harris helped lead the Bulls to a pair of wins, averaging 21.5 points and 2.5 assists.

Damian Dunn * Redshirt-Sophomore * Guard * Temple

Dunn posted 34 points, three rebounds and three assists in an overtime loss at Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Craig Porter Jr * Senior * Guard * Wichita State

Porter averaged 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 4.0 steals in two games for the Shockers, including a triple-double (15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists) against Tulane on Sunday.
