Memphis' DeAndre Williams, Houston's Jarace Walker Earn Weekly Honors for week ending January 22

The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the eleventh week of the 2022-23 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DeAndre Williams * Senior * Forward * Memphis

Williams averaged 27.5 points and 11.5 rebounds as the Tigers picked up a pair of wins last week. He posted 29 points and 15 rebounds on Thursday against Wichita State and followed that up with 26 points and eight rebounds on the road at Cincinnati on Sunday.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Jarace Walker * Forward * Houston

Walker averaged 7.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games for the Cougars. He scored six points with a team-high nine rebounds in a road win at Tulane on Tuesday before recording nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds against Temple on Sunday.

HONOR ROLL

Landers Nolley II * Redshirt-Senior *, Guard, Cincinnati

Nolley averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists as the Bearcats went 1-1 last week.

Tyler Harris * Senior * Guard * South Florida

Harris averaged 21.5 points in two games for the Bulls, including a career-high 33 points in a win over in-state rival UCF.

Damian Dunn * Redshirt-Sophomore * Guard * Temple

Dunn averaged 19.0 points in two wins for the Owls, including 16 in win at then-No. 1 Houston on Sunday.

Bryant Selebangue * Sophomore * Forward * Tulsa

Selebangue averaged 16.0 points and 13.0 rebounds as the Golden Hurricane went 1-1 last week.

Jaykwon Walton * Junior * Guard * Wichita State

Walton averaged 16.5 points in 2 games and had a game-high 18 points as the Shockers won on the road at SMU on Sunday.
