SMU's Michael Weathers, Memphis' Jalen Duren Earn Weekly Honors for week ending March 6

The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the week ending February 27.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Michael Weathers * Senior * Guard * SMU
Weathers led SMU to a pair of wins and the No. 2 seed in the 2022 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship. The senior guard averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He had a double-double in the Mustangs' final game against Tulane with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Jalen Duren * Center * Memphis
Duren helped the Tigers to two wins by nearly averaging a double-double with 12.0 points and 9.0 rebounds. He had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds against South Florida on Thursday.

Harris averaged 14.5 points and 3.0 rebounds as the Tigers defeated South Florida and Houston to close out the regular season.

Coleman averaged 16.0 points off the bench in a pair of games for the Green Wave.
Jeriah Horne * Graduate * Forward * Tulsa
Horne averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds as the Golden Hurricane went 1-1 last week. He hit the game-winning half-court shot to defeat UCF on Sunday.
Tyson Etienne * Sophomore * Guard * Wichita State
Etienne averaged 15.0 points and 3.0 steals as the Shockers defeated Tulsa and East Carolina.
