Temple's Khalif Battle, UCF's Taylor Hendricks Earn Weekly Honors for week ending December 4

The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the fourth week of the 2022-23 season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Khalif Battle * Redshirt-Sophomore * Guard * Temple
Battle led the Owls to two victories last week, averaging 24.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals. He had 27 points and a career-high four steals over VCU on Saturday after dropping 22 points against La Salle in a neutral-site game at the Palestra in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Taylor Hendricks * Guard * UCF
Hendricks earned his third Freshman of the Week honor after scoring 21 points in a win over Samford on Sunday. The forward was 6-of-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range. Hendricks is the second player from The American to be named Freshman of the Week three weeks in a row, joining Memphis' Austin Nichols in the last three weeks of the 2013-14 regular season.
HONOR ROLL
CJ Kelly * Senior * Guard * UCF
Kelly recorded 16 points, including three 3-pointers, in the Knights' win over Samford.
Viktor Lakhin * Redshirt-Sophomore * Forward * Cincinnati
Lakhin recorded a pair of double-doubles in Bearcat wins last week, averaging 13.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in only 20.5 minutes per contest.
J'Wan Roberts * Redshirt-Junior * Forward * Houston
Roberts averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds as the No. 1 Cougars defeated Norfolk State and Saint Mary's.
DeAndre Williams * Senior * Forward * Memphis
Williams averaged 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 blocks in a 2-0 week for the Tigers.
Jaylen Forbes * Junior * Guard * Tulane
Forbes averaged 20.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in two games for Green Wave.
