East Carolina's Jayden Gardner and Temple's Damian Dunn Earn AAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards for week ending February 7

The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the 11th week of the 2020-21 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jayden Gardner * Junior * Forward * East Carolina

Gardner averaged a double-double with 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in a pair of games for the Pirates. The junior forward recorded 21 points and 15 rebounds in East Carolina's win over then-No. 5 Houston on February 3.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Damian Dunn * Guard * Temple

Dunn averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two games last week for the Owls. The guard led the Owls in scoring in both games with 16 against Cincinnati on February 4 and 22 at Wichita State on February 7.

David DeJulius * Junior * Guard * Cincinnati

DeJulius averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals as the Bearcats picked up a pair of road victories last week.

Alex Lomax * Junior * Guard * Memphis

Lomax helped lead the Tigers to a 3-0 week, averaging 10.7 points, 6.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 steals.

Kendric Davis * Junior * Guard * SMU

Davis recorded 22 points, 10 assists and four rebounds in a road win against Tulsa on February 3.

Jordan Walker * Redshirt-Junior * Guard * Tulane

Walker averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals in a pair of games for the Green Wave last week.

Tyson Etienne * Sophomore * Guard * Wichita State

Etienne averaged 21.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 2-0 week for the Shockers.
