Houston's Quentin Grimes and Memphis' Moussa Cisse Earn AAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards for week ending January 24

The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the ninth week of the 2020-21 season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Quentin Grimes * Junior * Guard * Houston
Grimes helped lead the Cougars to a pair of league wins last week, averaging 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists. The junior guard recorded 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists against Tulsa and posted 15 points and nine rebounds at Temple.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Moussa Cisse * Center * Memphis
Cisse averaged 13.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in a pair of Tiger wins last week. The freshman center posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Wichita State and led Memphis is points (15) and rebounds (9) at East Carolina.
Weekly Honor Roll
Darius Perry * Senior * Guard * UCF
Perry recorded 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a loss to SMU on Saturday (January 23).
Landers Nolley II * Sophomore * Guard * Memphis
Nolley averaged 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two wins for the Tigers last week.
Kendric Davis * Junior * Guard * SMU
Davis led the Mustangs to a road win at UCF with 21 points, nine assists and five rebounds on Saturday (January 23).
Jake Forrester * Junior * Forward * Temple
Forrester posted 15 points, eight rebounds and was 6-of-7 from the field against Houston on Saturday (January 23).
Brandon Rachal * Senior * Guard * Tulsa
Rachal recorded 18 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals against Houston on Wednesday (January 20).
