Cincinnati's Tre Scott, UConn's James Bouknight Earn AAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards for week ending February 17

The American Athletic Conference announced the men's basketball weekly honors for week ending February 17.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Trevon Scott, Redshirt-Senior, Forward, Cincinnati

Scott averaged a double-double last week with 19.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in two wins for the Bearcats. Against Memphis, the redshirt senior had 25 points and 19 rebounds before following that up with 14 points and 12 points in an overtime win at ECU.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

James Bouknight, Guard, UConn

Bouknight averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists as the Huskies went 1-1 on the week. The guard had 17 key points and eight rebounds in a win over Memphis on Sunday (Feb. 16).

Weekly Honor Roll

Precious Achiuwa, Freshman, Forward, Memphis

Achiuwa recorded two double-doubles for the Tigers and averaged 19.0 points and 15.0 rebounds for the week.

Feron Hunt, Sophomore, Forward, SMU

Hunt averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and shot 78.9 percent from the field in a pair of wins for the Mustangs.

Quinton Rose, Senior, Guard, Temple

Rose averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals as the Owls went 1-1 last week.

Martins Igbanu, Senior, Forward, Tulsa

Igbanu aided the Golden Hurricane to two wins last week by averaging 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Dexter Dennis, Sophomore, Guard, Wichita State

Dennis averaged nearly a double-double with 14.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a pair of Shocker wins last week.
