Prairie View Men's Basketball 2020-21 Schedule

Prairie View A&M Men's Basketball Head Coach Byron Smith and his Panthers' squad are scheduled to begin the 2020-21 season November 25 versus Little Rock as part of the University of Louisville Wade Houston Tipoff Classic.

The Wade Houston Tipoff Classic is scheduled to take place from November 25 to Dec. 4 and features a nine-team field with some of the nation's best mid-major programs.

Wade Houston, the namesake for the event, was the first African American to earn a scholarship to play at Louisville. Houston went on to a successful coaching career where he served on a Louisville staff that guided the Cardinals to a quartet of Final Four appearances and two national championships in the 1980s. He later became the first African American head coach in the history of the Southeastern Conference when Tennessee hired him in 1989.
