The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the 16th week of the men's college basketball season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jeremiah Martin - Memphis - Senior - Guard - Memphis, TN

Martin averaged 40.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for Memphis. The senior earns his first weekly award of the season and second of his career after he scored a career and American single-game-high 43 points in a win over Tulane. It is also the most points scored by a college player in FedExForum. Martin posted his sixth and seventh 30-point games of his career, the most by a Tiger player in the 21st century. With his 43 points vs. Tulane, he became the only player in Memphis and American history with two 40-point games in a career. Martin is one of three players in Memphis history with 1,400 points and 200 steals (Elliot Perry, Andre Turner). He is averaging 30.7 points in the month of February.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Dexter Dennis - Wichita State - Guard - Baker, LA

Dennis earns his first Freshman of the Week honor and the second for the Shockers in four weeks as he tied a Wichita State freshman record with six 3-pointers in Wednesday's win at Tulsa. He then hit five more triples on Saturday against Memphis. For the week, Dennis averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 68.8-percent from beyond the arc (11-of-16). Fueled by Dennis 6-of-9 shooting at Tulsa, WSU tied the single-game school record with 15 three-point field goals.

HONOR ROLL

Shizz Alston, Jr. - Temple - Senior - Guard

Had a game-high 24 points, four 3-pointers and seven assists in a win over Tulsa to avenge an earlier loss this season. Added five rebounds and a steal to help head coach Fran Dunphy to his ninth 20-win season in 13 years at Temple.

Cane Broome - Cincinnati - Senior - Guard

Hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final 90 seconds of a win at UConn. His second triple put Cincinnati up four with 12 seconds left. Bearcats posted a 2-0 week with a win over UCF. Now on a three-game win streak and have 11 wins in their last 12 games.

Tacko Fall - UCF - Senior - C

Averaged a double-double with 15.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in a 1-1 week. Put up the first ever 20-20 game in UCF's D1 history with 23 points and 20 rebounds in a win vs. SMU. Shot 82-percent from the field on the week.

Isaac Fleming - ECU - Senior - Guard

Recorded his first double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Tulane. 10 rebounds matched a career-high. Played 37 minutes and did not commit a turnover. Finished 9-of-16 from the field with two assists and two steals.

DeJon Jarreau - Houston - Redshirt-Sophomore - Guard

Scored 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting with a 3-pointer, three rebounds, four assists and a block in a win over USF. The victory helped the Cougars to a first-round American Championship bye and continued the nation's longest home winning streak to 33 games.
