Houston's Fabian White Jr, Wichita State's Grant Sherfield Earn AAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards for week ending December 29

The American Athletic Conference announced the men's basketball weekly honors for week ending December 29.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Fabian White Jr, Junior, Forward, Houston

White was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Diamond Head Classic and led Houston to wins over Georgia Tech and No. 21/20 Washington with 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Grant Sherfield, Guard, Wichita State

Sherfield recorded his first double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds on 6-of-6 shooting in the Shockers’ 84-66 win over Abilene Christian.

Gardner picked up a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds in the Pirates’ 82-74 win over Eastern Kentucky.

Precious Achiuwa, Freshman, Forward, Memphis

Achiuwa tabbed a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 97-55 win over New Orleans.

Ezacuras Dawson III, Redshirt-Sophomore, Guard, USF

Dawson III scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the Bulls' 60-58 win over Florida Atlantic.

Feron Hunt, Sophomore, Forward, SMU

Hunt scored 18 points on 9-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds in an 85-76 win over Georgia State.
