Breaon Brady enters his senior season at the University of Houston ready to improve upon his junior season. Head Coach Kelvin Sampson is the most improved player on the 2018-'19 season. Brady says he's ready to be someone his teammates and Coach Sampson can depend.

Brady, 6'8", listed at 260 pounds, had one stellar scoring game last season. December 30, 2017, Brady dominated the Temple Owls with 21 points and 9 boards in 18 minutes. Brady made 8 of his 9 field goal attempts in the game. The Owls had no answer for him.

However, Brady injured his ankle in the game which caused him to miss the next two games. His production the rest of the season never matched his performance versus Temple.

2018-2019 is a new season and a new opportunity.

"I know Coach Sampson expects a lot out of me because this is my last year," Brady said. "I'm a senior. Being a senior comes with lots of responsibility because I want to be the one that he can go to and depend on. It's all about dependability; so, that's what I've been doing is trying to work on my game and get better. So, I can be the one he can depend on as well as the other guys on the team."

Brady says he spent the offseason adding to his game.

"I've just been working. Trying to bring new stuff to my game. Just trying to improve everyday," Brady commented.

A key to Brady's productivity this season will be staying in shape (and avoiding foul trouble).

"I just got my body right. Started to eat better. I'm in better shape," Brady admits.

As a senior, Brady knows this season is his last opportunity to play college basketball.

"Just taking it serious. This is it," acknowledged Brady. "So, just been working hard. Trying to stay in shape and just try to keep my body where it needs to be to go through this season."
