Rockets to open 2025-26 NBA season at OKC; at Lakers on Christmas

The NBA has not yet released the 2025-26 schedules (August 15th was the date last season); however, Kevin Durant as a member of the Houston Rockets has influenced the NBA's tv partners.
According to Shams Charania, ESPN's NBA Insider, Rockets' fans know 2 dates and match-ups to mark on their calendars:
October 21 (Opening Night) -- Rockets at the Oklahoma City Thunder (Ring Night for the Thunder players) and
December 25 -- Rockets at the L.A. Lakers.
The Rockets at Thunder match-up will be the first of a doubleheader marking the NBA's return to NBC. The Golden State Warriors at the Lakers will be the second game of the doubleheader.
The December 25 match-up between the Rockets and Lakers will be part of 5 Christmas Day / Night NBA games televised on ABC and / or ESPN.
