The Houston Rockets today announced they have completed a three-team trade with Washington and New Orleans. As part of the deal, the Rockets have traded guard/forward Cam Whitmore to Washington in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick from Chicago and a 2029 second round pick from Sacramento. Houston also receives the draft rights to Mojave King from New Orleans.

Mojave King

King (6'5", 195) was the 47th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2023 NBA Draft before his rights were acquired by Indiana.

The Pelicans acquired his rights from the Pacers on June 17, 2025. The New Zealand native spent 2024-25 playing overseas after two seasons in the G League.

In two seasons as a Rocket, Whitmore appeared in 98 games with five starts, while averaging 10.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game.
