Rockets Sign Daishen Nix to Two-Way Contract

Friday afternoon, the Houston Rockets announced they have signed guard Daishen Nix (DAY-shin) to a two-way contract.

Nix (6'5", 224) was eligible for the 2021 NBA Draft and originally signed with Houston on August 25. Nix spent last season with the G League Ignite, where he was teammates with fellow Rockets rookie Jalen Green. Nix, who turns 20 years old in February, joined Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. and Kobi Simmons as the only G League players to have averaged at least 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 2020-21.

Per NBA rules for the 2021-22 season, a player under a two-way contract will be permitted to be on the NBA team's active list for no more than 50 games during the regular season, with no limit on practices, workouts or other activities with the NBA team.

In addition, the Rockets have waived guard Marcus Foster.
