Russell Westbrook announces he's tested positive for COVID-19
Posted: July 13, 2020 -- 12:08 p.m. CT
Russell Westbrook announced via social media he has tested positive for COVID-19:
"I tested positive for covid-19 prior to my teams departure to Orlando. I'm currently feeling well, quarantined, and looking forward to rejoining my teammates when I am cleared. Thank you all for the well wishes and continued support. Please take this virus seriously. Be safe. Mask up! #whynot"

Westbrook has missed the first Rockets' first two practices in Orlando; however, once he's cleared, he'll join the team.
Rockets Head Coach Mike D'Antoni spoke with the media Sunday after the team's practice; and, he mentioned he hopes Westbrook will join the team this week. (James Harden and Luc Mbah a Moute are also not in Orlando. No details have been given regarding them not being in Orlando.)
"I think we'll be fine," D'Antoni commented Sunday evening. "They're working at their home base. They're doing a little bit of what we're doing here right now; and, they'll be ready to go 5-on-5 when they get in here. It would be nice to have everybody here in the beginning; but, everybody is dealing with trying to do the best you can."
D'Antoni added, "We're still expecting a few days. It could be two days; 1 day; 2 days; 4 days. It'll be soon. It's not going to be long. We hope. You never know. But, we think we'll get them back in here towards the middle of the week."
