Rockets and BBVA Support Target Hunger Food Donation at Senior Living Community
Posted: June 30, 2020 -- 8:21 p.m. CT
Tuesday morning, the Houston Rockets and the Fertitta Family teamed up with BBVA to support a food distribution event by Target Hunger at HomeTowne on Wayside, which is a senior living community in Houston.
Rockets employees, including team mascot Clutch the Bear, were on site to give away hand sanitizer and gift cards for essential items courtesy of BBVA. Rockets owner Tilman J. Fertitta's Cadillac Bar restaurant provided boxed lunches for the residents.
Target Hunger is one of Houston's largest organizations providing direct food distribution to food insecure seniors, children and families who face the risk of going hungry every day.
