Houston Rockets' rookie Gary Clark scored the first points of his NBA career tonight during the Rockets' 133-113 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
With 9:38 left in the second quarter, Clark sank his first 3-point shot attempt of the game to give the Rockets a 41-39 lead. Then, 34 seconds later, swished a pull up three-point shot from 25 feet for a 44-41 Rockets lead.
Clark took a heat-check three-point shot from 32 and missed before missing his fourth three-point shot attempt of the quarter.
Clark shot 4 threes in 88 seconds. Clark finished the game 2 for 5 from three.
"It's a relief; but, at the same time, it's different for me my mindset is, coming from Cincinnati, for me it's about winning. Whatever I gotta do to make my team win; help my team win: whether it's coming from practice to playing hard.
"It's great that I finally got that out the way; but, we still lost. We're still trying to figure it out. That's what we do, we shoot threes."
