Big 12 Announces Houston Cougars Women's Basketball Conference Schedule

The Houston Cougars Women's Basketball program will open its 18-game conference slate against Texas Tech on Dec. 22 as the Big 12 Conference announced the 2024-25 league schedule on Thursday morning.

Houston will play Baylor, Texas Tech and UCF twice during the regular season while playing Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia in front of the home crowd in Fertitta Center. The Cougars will take on BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Iowa State, TCU and Utah on the road.

Houston will tip off its second year in the Big 12 on the road against Texas Tech (Dec. 22) and will ring in the new year with a two-game homestand against Kansas State (Jan. 2) and Arizona State (Jan. 4).

A Wednesday-Saturday slate sends the Cougars to Utah for two games as Houston meets BYU (Jan. 8) followed by Utah (Jan. 11).

After their trip to Utah, the Cougars return to Fertitta Center to face Oklahoma State (Jan. 14) followed by a quick trip to Waco, Texas, to take on Baylor (Jan. 17).

Texas Tech makes the return trip to Houston (Jan. 22) and welcomes Kansas for the first time since the 2009-10 season (Jan. 25). The Cougars close out the month of January on the road against Cincinnati (Jan. 29).

The month of February features four road contests and three home games. Houston opens the month on the road against UCF (Feb. 1) and returns to the friendly confines of Fertitta Center to host Baylor (Feb. 5) and West Virginia (Feb. 8).

The Cougars will make the trek to Boulder, Colo., to take on Colorado (Feb. 15) followed by a visit to Ames, Iowa, to face Iowa State (Feb. 19).

Following its two-game road swing, Houston welcomes Arizona (Feb. 22) and will head to its final road game of the regular season at TCU (Feb. 26).

Houston will conclude the regular season with Senior Day against UCF (March 2).

The 2025 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 5-10 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO.
