Houston Cougars guard Laila Blair named AAC Player of the Week

After leading the Houston women's basketball team with 25 points and five three-pointers in the Cougars' 65-60 win over Temple on Saturday, junior guard Laila Blair was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
The award is the first of the season for the Houston native and second of her career. Blair is the first Coog to win Player of the Week this season. The junior has been named to the conference Honor Roll twice this season.
Blair has now scored 20 points in five different games with her 25-points the second-most points in her career.
Houston has won three conference games in a row for the second time this season and are tied for second in the conference at 6-3 with Tulsa.
