Houston Cougars Women's Basketball Conference Schedule Matrix Announced

Thursday morning, the American Athletic Conference announced the University of Houston women's basketball matrix breakdown for the 2022-23 season.
For the women's teams, the matrix is based on a 16-game league schedule with each team playing six of its 10 opponents twice, and the other four opponents once each, two at home and two away.
During the 2022-23 season, the Cougars will face Memphis, South Florida, SMU, Temple, Tulane and Tulsa both in the Fertitta Center as well as on the road. Houston will also welcome UCF and Wichita State to campus while competing at Cincinnati and East Carolina.
Houston will announce the rest of its non-conference schedule as well as dates and times for each game at a later date.
Last season, the women's basketball team finished with an 18-16 overall record including making it to the Round of 16 in the WNIT.
The complete 2022-23 women's basketball composite schedule with dates and times will be announced at a later date. The first conference play dates will be December 30-January 2, 2023. The 2023 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, March 6-9.
