The American Women's Basketball Schedule Matrix Announced

Thursday morning, the American Athletic Conference announced the matrix for the 2021-22 women's basketball season. The Houston Cougars women's basketball team learned the breakdown of its American Athletic Conference opponents during the 2021-22 season, highlighted by eight conference home games.
The Coogs are set to face Cincinnati, East Carolina, Memphis and Wichita State once during the regular season. Cincinnati and ECU will make trips to Houston, while the Coogs will visit Memphis and Wichita State.
UCF, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane and Tulsa are slated for two meetings with the Coogs during the upcoming season with contests slated to take place both at home and on the road for each program.
During its nonconference season, Houston will travel to Cancun, Mexico, to participate in the Cancun Challenge November 25-27 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. The Coogs will face Arizona State, Fordham and Baylor in Cancun.
