Houston Receives Votes in Women's Basketball Coaches Poll

The Houston Cougars women's basketball team picked up two votes in the USA TODAY Sports women's basketball coaches poll.
For the first time since the 2017-18 season, the Cougars received votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches Poll. Houston is currently on a seven-game winning streak and winners of 10 out their last 11 games.
The Coogs return to action this evening against Cincinnati to conclude its regular season. With a program-record 12 wins in The American and fresh off its first win over a ranked opponent in over a decade, the Cougars appear in the poll for the first time since February 20, 2018.
Houston returns to action at 6.p.m. tonight against Cincinnati on ESPN+. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in a ceremony celebrating seniors, Eryka Sidney and Julia Blackshell-Fair.
