Houston Cougars Women's Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule for 2020-21 Season
POSTED: November 9, 2020 -- 3:15 p.m. CT
Monday afternoon, Ronald Hughey, Head Coach of Houston Cougars Women's Basketball program, announced Houston's non-conference schedule for the 2020-21 season. The schedule is highlighted by two games to be played inside the Fertitta Center.
The Cougars open the 2020-21 season on November 25 on the road at Oklahoma for the final game of a home-and-home agreement between the two teams. The Cougars defeated the Sooners 85-69 last season for Houston's first win over OU in Houston's program history.
Houston opens the month of December inside the friendly confines of the Fertitta Center. Auburn will visit Houston on December 5 for the first meeting between the two programs since 1993 as part of an alliance between The American and the SEC.
The Cougars will then travel to Arlington to face UT-Arlington on December 8. This marks the first time the program will face the Lady Mavs under first-year Head Coach Shereka Wright. The Cougars lead the all-time series between the two teams 10-1.
UH concludes its non-conference schedule with a regional match-up with Stephen F. Austin on December 11 inside the Fertitta Center. The meeting will be the first between the two teams since 1997.
Game times and broadcast information will be made available at a later date, along with gameday procedures for the 2020-21 season.
