Landry earns her first-career preseason honor after a breakout junior season that saw the Houston native average 14.8 points and 4.0 assists per game while helping lead the Cougars to a perfect 16-0 record in league play and the school’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005.

Landry scored in double figures in 26 of 32 games last season and became the 21st member of Houston’s 1,000-point club with a 20-point effort against Tulane in the C-USA Tournament semifinals. Landry is also only one of four players all-time at Houston with 1,000 points (1,015) and 300 assists (335).

Landry is one of five letterwinners returning for the Cougars, while the defending C-USA champions welcome eight newcomers to the team.

The Cougars were picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll behind Memphis, Rice, UCF, Tulane, UTEP and UAB.
