Taylor and Scott sign pro hoops contracts overseas

Brittney Scott and Courtney Taylor have signed professional contracts to play basketball in Spain. Scott inked with Ourense and Taylor signed with AG.DVA.BALONCESTOS AVILES (ADBA), both of the Spanish League.

"I've been playing basketball all of my life, so to get to this level and achieve another goal, it feels really good," said Scott.

The two former Cougars begin training camp in September, and the season officially kicks off in October and will run through May.

Scott and Taylor join Sancho Lyttle as former Cougars now playing in the professional ranks. Lyttle starred at Houston from 2003-05 and was the fifth overall pick of the 2005 WNBA Draft. Lyttle is in her sixth season in the League and is a two-time All-Star selection with the Atlanta Dream.
