LJ Cryer announces transfer to Coogs

Sunday afternoon, LJ Cryer, 6'1", 190-pound guard, announced he's transferring to the Houston Cougars men's basketball program.
Cryer comes to Houston after attending Baylor University and playing basketball for the Bears. Cryer has not utilized his COVID (extra) year; therefore, he could have 2 seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining.
Cryer averaged 15.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in the 2022-23 season. Cryer shot 45.3 fg%, 41.5 3pt%.
Cryer's assist-to-turnover ratio in 2022-23 was 1.3-to-1 (63 assists, 48 turnovers).
He appeared in 20 games off the bench as a true freshman during Baylor's 2020-21 national championship season. Cryer dealt with foot discomfort during the 2021-22 season and had offseason foot surgery. He missed 15 games in 2021-22 battling discomfort -- including 12 of last 13 games.
Cryer shot 42.5% (148 for 248) from 3 during his career at Baylor.
