The Houston Cougars Men's Basketball program earned a No. 2 seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament's Midwest Region and will face No. 15 seed Cleveland State on Friday.

The No. 2 seed marks the Cougars highest NCAA Tournament since 1984. Game time is 6:15 p.m. Central Time, inside Assembly Hall, on truTV.

The Cougars and Vikings have never faced each other in the NCAA Tournament.

The winner of Friday's First-Round match-up will face the winner of the 7-seed Clemson / 10-seed Rutgers winner on Sunday with a chance to reach the Sweet 16.
