Houston Cougars Guard Marcus Sasser announces he will be out the rest of the season

Houston Cougars junior guard Marcus Sasser announced on his Instagram account he will miss the rest of the 2021-22 season:
"Year didn't end how I imagined ,but I'll be back better and stronger fasho GodsPlan."
I have confirmed Sasser will miss the rest of the season with an injury.
Sasser's exact injury has not been confrimed by UH; but, he did have problems with his right foot the last few ball games. Last week, Head Coach Kelvin Sampson termed Sasser's injury as "turf toe".
The Houston Cougars men's basketball program has not (yet) made an official statement regarding Sasser; however, news of Sasser's being out the rest of the season follows Wednesday's announcement sophomore guard Tramon Mark had successful shoulder surgery and would miss the rest of the season.
Sasser told Mark Berman of Fox 26 Sports his injury is a hairline fracture in his left foot:

Sasser started each of Houston's 13 games this season and led the team in scoring with 17.7 points per game on 43.7 fg% overall and 43.7% from three-point range. Sasser became a vocal leader of this year's team.
