Ramon Walker 6'6 wing from Shadow Creek HS Verbals to the University of Houston

Wednesday afternoon on The Chop Shop, Ramon Walker, 6'6" wing, from Shadow Creek High School, announced, along with his mom and dad, he will attend the University of Houston to continue his academic and athletic career. Walker will be a senior at Shadow Creek High School this fall. He is part of the Houston Cougars' men's basketball 2021 Signing Class.

Walker chose Houston over McNeese, North Texas, Rice, Texas Southern, Texas State, Tulsa and other schools.

Walker is an athletic wing with a solid outside game. He's an under the radar talent; however, Ramon is one of the top boys high school players in Greater Houston. He was a finalist for the 2020 Guy V. Lewis Award which is an award recognizing the top boys' high school player in the Greater Houston area.
As of April 2020, Walker is ranked 3rd in Houston on the RCS Sports' rankings for 2021.
Walker helped lead Shadow Creek to a 29-4 record in the 2019-'20 season. Walker averaged 24.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.9 steals per game last season.
